"The Extra Mile is Never Crowded"

One of my business coaches Chris Winfield says that the extra mile is seldom crowded and that we should always go the extra mile for everyone. I didn't realize that is exactly how I am programmed.

Last year I joined the Board of our Local Little League. There were two positions left over, historian and T-ball director so I said I would do both.

Over the course of the two-month t-ball season, I made practice plans for the coaches, set up the fields with the innumerable things one needs to run a 3-7-year-old t-ball practice to keep the kids engaged, and watched the players grow in their abilities.

As we neared the last practice I wanted to do something to make the season memorable for the kids so that when they remembered baseball next year they would want to participate!

Enter Spikes, the mascot from our local farm team. I had Spike's visit at the last t-ball game and EVERYONE loved it. One of the moms whose older son was on my fall ball team said "DMC you always do a little extra." and I took that as a compliment.

Going the extra mile is who I am and how I'm built. If you'd like to know how I will go the extra mile for you, your school, and your district, fill out this form and a member of my team will be in touch.

In friendship, love and leadership,
