The Best Investment You Will Ever Make, Will Be On YOU!

So last week I had the most amazing two-day experience with my coach and the coaching team of Clients and Community.😍

Yup, I’m an executive coach who invests in coaching, and let me tell you why.🧐🧐

I don't know, what I don’t know.

I know that the way I’ve been working out at the gym hasn’t been working for me so I hired a Personal Trainer.💪

I know that I don’t know how to eat as well as I should so I invested in a Nutritionist.🥑🍌🥘

I know that I have never started a business before so I hired a business coach.💼

I know that I am an expert in my field but there are many in which I am not. So, why struggle and try to figure it out when there are people who can help me.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

This little shift from HOW do I solve this problem to WHO can help me solve this problem makes me more effective and allows me to focus on my zone of genius.

I did the same thing when I was the CEO of my charter school. I had a coach who was a retired Superintendent and I hired someone else to coach my entire leadership team.

Leading a school or district is hard enough….why try to reinvent the wheel when there are people who can literally help you build it?👩‍💼

When I hear women say they don’t have money to invest in their own growth I think that is part of the problem.

As women, we always put everyone else before us and THAT is WHY we are overworked, exhausted, on the brink of burning out or worse.💣💣

Today in my coaching cohort we talked about the guilt we feel when we aren’t at work. We all agreed that we were built to go to work every day. We discussed how unsustainable it is when you ARE having physical or mental health issues. As one of my clients just said today, “I had to step back and take a medical leave because I realized if I had a heart attack or a stroke they’d replace me anyway!”😣😣

The funny thing is that if one of our staff members presented like we are when we are overworked, exhausted, and nearing burnout we’d tell them to stay home and that we’d hold it down for them. So then, why don’t we give ourselves that grace and forgiveness?🧐🧐

It’s because we are programmed to think that we have to do it all, be it all, and know it all.

Well, my sister leaders, it is time that we deprogram and make changes so that we take care of our needs. If we don’t start doing just that we won’t be good to anyone and least of all to those who need us the MOST.

I pray if you feel you need help you don’t wait until the point of no return.❤️‍🩹
